The Staying Power (The Grace to Outlast) by Apostle Joshua Selman

The Staying Power (The Grace to Outlast) by Apostle Joshua Selman

‭‭”And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”. John‬ ‭17:3‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)
Go ahead and give God praise, lift up your voice and worship Him.
Declare your desperation and make your expectations known to Him tonight.

Six Goals of God for us Believers:

1. To become a spiritually vibrant Believer.
2. To become a person of character, with a growing determination to become like Jesus in all ramifications.
3. To become intelligent and transformed Believers; Believers whose minds have become word compliant.
4. To become highly anointed and empowered Believers. You’re a blessing to the degree to which you are empowered.
5. To become responsible, purpose driven and effective Believers. Every Believer must have a sense of destiny in Jesus Christ.
6. To produce out of us agents of societal and territorial transformation.

When you belong to a genuine family of faith, Believers and unbelievers alike must see your impact in the society; your spirituality should translate to an advantage, not a nuisance to civilization.

Believers can know that they’re either growing or stunted, by measuring their growth with these six irrefutable principles.

Pray: I pray that with every teaching, your heart is open and you partner with God in your becoming.

Something happens to an individual the moment he knows his place in Jesus Christ, and his place in destiny. If you don’t find your place in life and destiny, you will live a life of hate, anger and bitterness, while watching others live a purposeful life.

Life can be worth living, when you know that you count in God’s program.

The life you have received in Jesus Christ is knowledge activated, not wish activated; no-one wins the Olympics by mistake. Your life is at the mercy of the mysteries of the Kingdom, that you know.

I pray for you, may God begin to structure your spiritual understanding.

Mastery of the principles and mastery of the mysteries of the Kingdom is responsible for accuracy and greatness at any level.

The best time to begin your journey in this Kingdom is yesterday, the next best time is now.
If you missed out on yesterday, don’t waste the remaining time complaining, reminvent yourself, embrace God’s mercy and keep growing.

What looks like nonsense will have meaning when men accord it value.

Ideas only become great when people accord them value; even nonsense will become meaningful when people accord it value.
People play a vital role in determining the importance of anything.
It is in the multitude of men that a King’s honour lies.

Six foundational knowledge all Believers must have for a victorious life.

1. You must know God through Jesus Christ.
We know God by:
• Studying His character (Psalm 103:1-22)
• Studying His ways
• Learning His power
(Ephesians. 1: 19)
2. You must know yourself in light of whom Jesus Christ is.
3. You must know your place in destiny and God’s prophetic program. (Jeremiah 1: 5, Hebrews 10: 7).
4. You must go through the sacrifice of understanding the principles and mysteries of the Kingdom. (Job 38: 33).
5. You must understand man in all his dimensions ((Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 5:13).
You must understand how to work with men in this cosmos.
6. You must know your adversary, the devil.
It is important to know him because of his destructive tendencies.

Mysteries of the Kingdom to Master
– Law of encounter
– Law of faith
– Law of honor
– Law of relationships
– Excellency of prayer
– Power of vision and its ability to evolve you.
– The power of The Word.
Mastery is responsible for greatness at any level. Master them on time because the unit of destiny is time.

“They go from strength to strength, Every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭84:7‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)
Pray: Father, open my eyes to see. Help me receive light from Your word, tonight.

Men (people) do not just last, men do not just remain, there is a grace God gives men that helps them outlast storms, seasons, adversities and anything whatsoever.
(Joshua 14:6-12, Hebrews 6:15)

Rest On Me by David Dam

There is a grace that is responsible for longevity. Impact can be short-lived.
Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭15‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)

Impact can be short lived.
Men can be weary and vision can fail.
It is possible for a man to start strong and become weary, tired and plateau, because of the vicissitudes of life surrounding their journey to growth.
Longevity of impact is based on a grace called “the staying power”.

The skill it takes to start anything, is not what it takes to remain.

Men are as powerful as The God that backs them and the mysteries that support and surround them.

It takes a man who knows God to continue and remain in the world of men.

To “Outlast” means to continue to exist in spite of.
It means to remain active.
It means to last longer than things, opponents and conditions, usually unfavorable.

God does not keep what you have; He keeps what you commit to Him. He cannot protect a destiny that is not handed to Him.

If you trust God enough, trust Him with your destiny. There is no shame in handing over to God. (Proverbs 3:5-7, Joshua 1:9).

The staying power is derived from the ability to know God and draw strength from Him.

Men do not last because all seasons were in their favour. Champions know that seasons will change, so they invent skills to survive regardless. Every time you are confused about challenges, look up (to God) and be strong.

”Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.“
”In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.“
”Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.“
‭‭(Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-7 KJV)

Life always comes with challenges in a magnified form, it takes stamina to deflate it to a minimized form and to confront it.

FIVE KEYS THAT HELP MEN OUTLAST:

1. Be strong in The Lord (Ephesians 6:10 – AMP)
This is the stamina and strength derived from knowing God.
Your confidence in life will be on the strength of your knowledge of God. (2 Timothy 1:12)

There is something about the knowledge of God that gives you the strength or stamina to pull through, regardless of the challenges or battles you face.
God does not raise victims. He raises victors!
You can weary the problems you have by your ability to stay, as a result of your knowledge of God.

One of the things that builds generals in God’s Kingdom is their scars.
Sometimes, God gives you courage by bringing you face to face with your fears.

2. Submit to the supremacy of the Word of God as final authority over your life in any and all matters.
It is dangerous to build your life and destiny on any other factor and foundation aside the Word of God. Factors like human philosophy, intellect and visionary encounters are inferior to God’s word.

Psalm 12:6-7 (KJV)
6. The words of the LORD are pure words: As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.“‭‭ 7. ”Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.“

Knowing God is an advantage; you may not survive turbulent times if you do not have an experiential knowledge of God.

All champions are champions because of what they overcame.

”As for God, his way is perfect: The word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust in him.“
‭‭(Psalm‬ ‭18‬:‭30‬ ‭KJV‬‬)
The Word of God has the foundation that your destiny needs.

Matthew 7:24-25 KJV

As a Believer, what you saw (in a vision) is valid only when it is consistent with what is written (in the Scriptures).
There are times when all factors can be well, but things won’t go well, at such times, you need The Word of God!

3. Build inner strength and stamina through consistent prayer. (Luke 18:1, Proverbs 24:10)
If you do not know how to pray, you will not last.
There is a dimension of prayer that grants you strength to last in challenging times.
Build capacity in prayer and build it early!

There is a dimension of strength that survives the winds of life, generated only when you pray.

Prayer is not a burdensome ritual to feel spiritual, you will never build stamina, strength, or capacity to face certain challenges if you ignore the ministry of prayer.

The most effective and powerful way to drive away distraction is to pray.

The moment seasons become unfavorable in your life, minimize distraction or the need to attract sympathy, get into a closet, and pray!

Never waste moments and every given opportunity to pray.
Discern that any attack on your prayer life is an attack on your stamina and continuity to remain and last!

I pray for you: In the name of Jesus Christ, you outlast every capacity, season and condition.
From now till the next 30 to 50 years, you will still be standing!
The cancer that fights longevity, let it be far from your life, in the name of Jesus!

4. Be joyful, void of bitterness and offense (Philippians 4:4, Proverbs 17:22, Ephesians 4:31)
*Keys to remaining joyful and being void of bitterness and offense:*

  1. Always interpret things from the lens of God’s sovereign plan. Romans 8:28, Genesis 50:19-20, James 1:2
  2.  When you go through any kind of unfavorable season, always focus on the goodness of God.

Something therapeutic happens when you focus on the goodness of God.

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: But a broken spirit drieth the bones.“ Proverbs‬ ‭17‬:‭22‬ (KJV‬‬)

Joy is a key demonstration and manifestation of faith. 1 Peter 1:8

5. Always keep the vision of your future and your prophetic destiny before you. (Philippians 3:13, Luke 9:62).
You must look beyond the vicissitudes of life and rather look at your prophetic destiny.

God does not call people and leave them on the way, He’s a finisher (He completes what He starts).
No matter how close you’re to your destiny, if you don’t finish well, you will stay in the same group with those who never started.

Vision gives you focus and an opportunity to say no to many things, including the good things of life. Vision prunes your relationships and appetite.

Pray: Lord, I obtain the grace to outlast storms, challenges, and vicissitudes of life. I receive the staying power in ministry and the staying power for my business and career. I weary storms and I outlast challenges, in the name of Jesus Christ!

In the name of Jesus Christ, the grace to outlast, let it rest upon you. I speak the staying power over you!

You will not fall by the wayside, you will not be like Ichabod, in the name of Jesus!
For those that are weak and weary, downcast and discouraged, find hope, strength, and the grace to return, pursue, overtake, and by all means, the grace to recover all, let it rest upon you.
I call you a victor; I call you a sign and a wonder. May God’s hands be strong upon you!

Let this week be a week of blessings for you! Receive testimonies from Monday to Sunday! Receive goodness, laughter, abundance, and the ministry of men from Monday to Sunday, in Jesus name!
You will return with testimonies on Sunday, and it will be evident from your life that God can help men, in the name of Jesus Christ!
