The Mentality Of A Victor by Apostle Joshua Selman

Watch The Message

Pray: Lord, give me a life-transforming encounter, by Your Spirit.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)

Salvation, according to Scripture was designed to affect the entire tripartite nature of man.

Any spirit that operates on earth without a physical body is in violation of the natural order. This is precisely why spirits seek bodies to inhabit, as it enables them to function within the earthly realm.
A soul is essentially a conscious spirit intertwined with the mind. It is through this union that the spirit and body can effectively operate. The mind serves as a crucial link connecting these two essential components.

The distinction between the spirit and the soul lies in the presence of the mind. Without a functioning mind, the spirit lacks a direct connection to the physical body.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Three Dimensions of Man’s Nature (Hebrews 4:12):

1. Spirit
2. Soul (The mind)
3. Body

Conditions to be called “Man”:
1. You must be a spirit
2. That spirit must be hosted in a material frame(body)
3. There must be a presence of soulical faculty containing will, emotions, and intellect.

Mathew 10:28 (KJV)
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 16:26 KJV, Genesis 35:16-19 KJV, 1 Corinthians 13:11 KJV, Jeremiah 1:5 KJV, 1 Corinthians 6:19-2o KJV, Luke 4:18-21 KJV, Matthew 4:1-11 KJV, Acts 2:1;16 KJV

Salvation was designed to touch the entire span of the tripartite nature of man.
Salvation starts with your spirit, known as “The New Birth”. The new birth brings oneness with The Spirit of God.
(1 Corinthians 6:17)

The second realm salvation gets to is the mind.
Transformation is the name given to the salvation of the soul.
(1 Peter 1:9)

Romans 12:2 (KJV)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

THE TRAJECTORY OF SALVATION:

1. Salvation starts with your spirit, known as “The New Birth”. The new birth brings oneness with The Spirit of God.
2. The second realm salvation gets to is the mind. Salvation is the name given to the transformation and the renewal of the soul (mind). (1 Peter 1:9)
3. The body is at the mercy of the transformation or renewal of the soul. It gives expression to the level of your transformation.

PROOF OF TRANSFORMATION:
1. Your ability to make superior choices or decisions.
2. Your ability to gain dominance over your emotions.
3. Your ability to influence your beliefs and mindset.

From your thoughts and intellect, your actions originate; it is through the overflow of the heart that words are spoken.

If your words consistently contradict Scripture and the process of your transformation, it signifies an underlying issue:
– Lack of discipline in making choices that align with God’s kingdom.
– Failure to comply with the teachings of the Bible.
– Uncontrolled emotions

The salvation of the soul is a continuous process.
Your body is at the mercy of the transformation of your soul. It gives expression to the level of your transformation.

Maturity emanates from the realm of the soul or mind. One of the most evident indicators of maturity is the ability to master emotions.

Among these three dimensions – spirit, soul (mind), and body, the most crucial for excelling on earth is your mind – through its renewal and transformation.
Your choices and actions rely on the extent of your mind’s renewal and transformation.
What distinguishes great preachers, fathers, businessmen, and career persons is the level of renewal and transformation of their minds.

Philippians 2:5 (KJV)
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Many believers aspire to fulfill their destinies and excel in life, yet they fail to understand that salvation must flow from their spirit to the realm of the mind.

Many Believers prioritize the salvation of their spirit man, yet they overlook the necessity of transforming their minds.
The corruption and mismanagement of emotions serve as evident indications of the absence of light (spiritual enlightenment) in the realm of the mind.

To receive certain graces and mantles, there is a prerequisite level of dexterity and renewal that must be attained in the mind or soul.

Anger is the cancer that affects leaders.
As a Believer, it is essential to train yourself and build the capacity to attain high levels of mental transformation.

Your level of transformation and renewal becomes evident in the presence of opportunities.
It reflects the extent to which you have surrendered your will to God.

Can you confidently decline significant opportunities when God says they are not aligned with His will for you?
Has your “will” been completely surrendered to the impulses or promptings of the Holy Spirit?

Pray: In the name of Jesus, through the excellency of my renewal, prophecy is about to happen in my life!
As I access the mindset that allows the blueprint of my destiny to find expression, the Victor in me emerges, in the name of Jesus!

BELIEF SYSTEMS FOR VICTORY:
1. An understanding of your positional advantage in Christ.
(Ephesians 2:4-6, 1:20-23)
2. The consciousness of your oneness with Christ.
(1 Corinthians 6:17, Ephesians 6:10)
3. Your life will eventually be an expression of your beliefs, philosophies, and your ideas.
4. Without consistent decisions and actions, life and destiny remain stagnant. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

The positional advantage you possess in Christ is a revelation that must be received. It is a spiritual reality that surpasses earthly limitations, enabling you to transition from one level to another in the physical realm.

The quality of your life will be a merciless reflection of your beliefs, philosophies, and ideas.
Ignorance of certain aspects about God, the devil, and humanity can lead to living a defeated life.

Mere wishes alone are insufficient. To transform desires into reality, you must incorporate the responsibility factor – which involves making decisions and taking action to honor those decisions.
Numerous people wish for things but hesitate to make firm decisions. The pace of your life is determined by your actions and choices.

Your destiny is primarily shaped by your decisions and actions, beyond prophecies and wishes.
Cease merely wishing for a great life; instead, focus on the necessary actions and decisions you ought to take.

Every time you fail to decide, you give the devil a chance to destroy you.

Pray: In the name of Jesus, I declare that from today onwards, I make quality decisions and take quality actions.

ASSIGNMENT:
Write out three things you will begin to do and commit to from today henceforth.

5. Challenges are not unusual, and can always be surmounted.
(Psalm 34:19, 2 Corinthians 2:14)
6. This world is a world of men. Therefore, advancement is based on relationships.
(Psalm 115:16, John 5:6-7)
7. Who you become as you walk with God is by far greater than what you acquire.
Your transformation is better than your acquisition.
8. Everything in your life only becomes valuable when it is connected to purpose.
(John 18:37)

Challenges are not unusual.
When you face challenges on your path to destiny, confront them headlong and emerge victorious.
It’s important to recognize that challenges serve as evidence of progress, they signify the presence of motion and growth in your life.

Refuse to label situations as problems; instead, view them as challenges to overcome.
Embrace your mistakes with honor, knowing that they will ultimately become powerful testimonies of growth and resilience.
Beware of individuals who have never faced challenges; being around them exposes you to significant risks. The ability to mentor others is derived from a personal journey of pain and endurance.

Destiny actualization is not only God-dependent, it is also men-dependent.

Actualizing your destiny relies not only on God but also on the support and involvement of other people.
The power of relationships is undeniable. Everything has the potential to multiply based on the strength of our connections (relationships).

Your transformation is better than your acquisition.
When you probe the great, their greatest sense of worth comes from who they have become.
Your “becoming” is greater than your “doing” and “having”.

9. The only real assets you have are God, your peace, and your fulfillment. (Jeremiah 9:23-24, John 17:3, 14:27)
Nothing in itself is truly valuable; it is only valuable to you, relative to your perception.
The ability to serve the purpose is what makes a thing truly valuable.
Everything you have that cannot be connected to purpose will not benefit you and can eventually be used by the devil for your destruction.

One secret to answered prayers is to connect your desires to divine purpose
(James 4:3, John 18:37).

Kingdom-driven prayers receive answers.

Fulfillment is the satisfaction derived from knowing you have lived your life effectively, serving the purposes of God, and being a blessing to humanity.
The real asset of the believer is the wealth of knowing God. The highest definition of success is the presence of peace.

Three essential things you can take with you, as you depart from life:
1. Your relationship with Jesus.
This is the basis of your being with Him when all is said and done.
2. Your peace.
3. Your fulfillment.

The purpose of a long life is not merely to alleviate the fear of death but rather to dedicate your time to advancing the Kingdom.
The wise discern the difference between wasting time, merely spending time, and purposefully investing in time.

Prayer:
Make contact with someone and thank The Lord for the Word you’ve just received.
Make up your mind on the Word received and ask God for the belief systems and mentality of a victor.

In the name of Jesus, I pray for the doing grace upon you. The grace to take advantage of these truths you have received and act upon it, let that grace be released upon you!
I declare that every faulty belief system that you may have obtained that may be responsible for failure, poverty, defeat, anger, and all kinds of health issues, in the name of Jesus by these prophetic declarations, let there be a transition in your mind!

Go and prosper in your ministry, career, business, and family!
Your days will be filled with victory and prosperity in the name of Jesus!
In the name of Jesus, every weapon of the kingdom of darkness that have followed you until now programming failure, exhaustion, and defeat, I decree and declare that you are delivered now and forever!
