Knowing God For Yourself

Knowing God For Yourself

Having a personal relationship with God is very important. You do not want to be like the Israelites in the Bible who knew God as Moses’ God and not their God. Exodus 20:18-21 KJV or King Saul saw God as Prophet Samuel’s God and not his own God. 1 Samuel 15 KJV. It is okay to follow, listen, and stay under the teaching of a man of God, but you must know God as your God as your God and not your man of God’s God.

Some people make mistakes because they don’t see God as their own God but their man of God as a God. We hear stories of some people seeing men of God as God and even worshiping the man instead of learning about God from the man and knowing God for themselves.

There is a dimension you won’t get to if you know God for yourself, there is beauty in knowing God, and there are many things you learn about God that leave you in wonder of how amazing and Great God is.

When we get to heaven, we won’t be standing behind a man of God no, we will stand by ourselves and explain what kind of life we lived and what we accomplished for God and our relationship with God. 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV, Romans 14:10-12 NIV

May God continue to give us his grace and show us mercy as we continue this walk with him personally.
