We are all familiar with the story of Lot’s wife turning into salt because she looked back to see Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19:26 KJV
Do you know that Abraham also looked at Sodom and Gomorrah and was not destroyed? Genesis 19:27-28 KJV
When you have a personal relationship with God, there are somethings other do and are destroyed and you do, and God’s mercy covers you from judgment. Abraham was a friend of God.
Another example is King David in Matthew 12:4 KJV Jesus said:
He (King David) entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
And he was covered why, because David was not only a king he also was a priest. When King Uzziah in 2 Chronicles 26:16-23 KJV entered the house of God and tried to burn incense he was struck with leprosy and lived with it till the day he died, why because he was just a king and not a man after God’s own heart like King David was.
