Jesus The Messiah (Jesus as Savior) By Apostle Joshua Selman Part 1
From an Evangelical and Apostolic Dimension, there are 3 dimensions (revelation) of Jesus every believer must know in order to become a person of stature:
1. To Know Jesus as Savior
2. To know Jesus as Lord (The revelation of the Lordship of Jesus) Psalm 24:1 KJV
To know Jesus as Lord means:
- To understand the extent of his dominion
- The extent of his influence.
If you will ever walk in dominion in this kingdom, these 4 components must be captured in your life:
- Land (The Earth)
- The fullness, the resources of the Earth
- You must have the access to the ability to influence the mind and the thinking of a civilization.
- You must have influence over men.
Fear dies when you know the Lord.
The character of God is that he never speaks until he has the power to defend what he says. Genesis 21:1 KJV (God only visits as he has said and he only does as he had spoken).
When you know Jesus as Lord:
- The revelation of the Lord is what plants the spirit of faith in every believer. Philippians 2:5;9-10-11 KJV.
- It brings you to a point where you become surrendered and you become obedient. Luke 6:46 KJV
When you come to the Lord (also as king):- He demands Loyalty
- He demands Obedience.
The Holy Spirit is called the Lord of the Harvest. The real owner is the Lord.
- You will know that there is nothing absolutely nothing that he cannot do
- You will live a surrendered life. The revelation of consecration

3. To know Jesus as Christ the Anointed One. Matthew 11:1-6 KJV.
When it has to do with Jesus as Christ, he talks about the works of Christ.
The word Christ is the Greek expression of the Hebrew word Messiah. They all mean the anointed one. Christos means the Anointed one.
The Anointed one means the authorized one to be a demonstration of all that makes God God.
Matthew 16:16-18 KJV, John 16:13-15 KJV, Luke 24:49 KJV, Matthew 3:17 KJV, Matthew 4 KJV.
Jesus didn’t have to say that he was Christ, it showed that he was the Christ.
When it has to do with the Christ the anointing, it answers to demonstration not just the excellency of speech.
There are works that attest to the fact that Christ is Christ indeed and Christ is at work in your life.
Don’t just say God is kind, show it. The assignment of Christ is to bring evidence to all the speakings and the claims of God.
We must transport God to a context that our world can relate with.
It is impossible to know the Christ and yet not carry the anointing that the Christ carried. Acts 10:38 KJV, Colossians 1:23-24 KJV, Ephesians 2:10 KJV
The believer is God’s workmanship that every time God needs to make a statement upon the earth he looks for people and uses them to make a statement. e.g. I’m the healer, I lift and I bless. We are God’s workmanship.
It doesn’t take much to be a believer, but it takes a lot to be his workmanship.
Ephesians 3:10 KJV. It is in the revelation of Jesus The Christ that the wisdom of God is revealed in the saint.
1 Corinthians 1:23-24 KJV.
Every time the anointing manifests, there are 2 things you seek to see:
- Power – it takes power to heal the sick.
- Wisdom to reveal Christ completely. but it takes wisdom to build nations.
Both together are a manifestation of the Christ.
The most powerful man on Earth grew in wisdom.
The impartation of power is useless to a man that has rejected wisdom. It will not do much.
The entire plan of God was not just driven by power, it was driven by the hidden wisdom of God. The entire plan of redemption was shrouded in the wisdom of God.
Wisdom is connected to mighty works. You cannot be mighty without an impartation of wisdom.
There were 2 kinds of light Job talked about in Job 29:3 KJV:
- The light upon his head for illumination
- The other one to direct his path as he walked
Stop telling people you met Jesus, show people you have met him.
We Need Wisdom like that of Prophet Daniel and Joseph the Prime Minister of Egypt.
We need to pursue this light, this light has destiny implications even when you get it.
If you know Jesus as Savior, you will take your world by storm, you will watch sinners come to Jesus.
If you know Jesus as Lord, you will walk like a God upon the Earth. Psalm 82:6-7 KJV.
If you know Jesus as Christ, our world is in desperate need of a manifestation of the glory of God through the saints. Manifesting as the wisdom of God and the power of God.
