Effective Prayer Dynamics by Apostle Joshua Selman

Watch The Message

Part 1: The Other Side of Faith by Apostle Joshua Selman

In Mark 11:23-24 KJV we see a straight line connecting desires, prayers, believing while you pray, receiving while you pray, and having which are the complete faith equation.

You cannot take prayer out of the faith equation, it is a vital component in the faith equation.

James 5:13 KJV, James 5:16 KJV

Prayer is a major component in manifesting Bible Faith.

Prayer is not key to everything, but prayer must be involved in everything. It is one of the keys of the kingdom.

When prayer is not the key, it becomes the hand that holds the key to produce victory.

Philippians 4:6 KJV

According to scripture, prayer has four major Biblical assignments in the life of a believer:

  1. For your growth and transformation. Luke 9:29 KJV
    1. When we pray we evolve
    2. When we pray we become
    3. When we pray, there is a transition that happens to us in the spirit.
    4. There is an exchange that happens in the place of prayer
  2. To make requests and obtain promises. Philippians 4:6 KJV.
  3. For decrees (create possibilities) and establishing spiritual realities. Job 22:28 KJV
  4. For warfare and intercession. John 10:10 KJV, 1 Peter 5:8 KJV, Ezekiel 22:30 KJV

The Bible says there are all kinds of prayer and there is something called praying amiss James 4:3 KJV

There are two important components as revealed in James 5:16 KJV that if and when they are not captured in your prayer, your prayer cannot produce power:

There must be a level of seriousness and intention that must be invested in the prayer of the righteous if it is to produce power. 2 Chronicles 15:12 KJV, 2 Chronicles 15:15 KJV, Revelation 3:16 KJV

There are two important components as revealed in James 5:16 KJV that if and when they are not captured in your prayer, your prayer cannot produce power:

What makes prayers effectual?

1. It is to the degree to which the will of God is captured in that prayer. James 5:16 KJV
The word compliance of your prayer is what makes it powerful.
The degree to which you are praying the will of God is where the guarantee for the answer and power lies in.
Praying the will of God is beyond attaching scriptures to prayer. 1 John 5:14-15 KJV, Ephesians 5:15-17 KJV

Discerning the will of God is one of the ways we gain time because you walk accurately knowing that you are at the heart, the epicenter of the will of God which the apostle called wisdom.
The entire kingdom system was built around the will of God. Matthew 6:10 KJV. The assignment of the power of God is to maintain and enforce the will of God in the life of the believer and across the cosmos.

When you understand the concept of the will of God, then you will have power in your prayer.

Making degrees is useless until you ascertain you are in the will of God. Psalm 138:2 KJV

There are three major layers in the study of Scripture:

1. Archaeological/Historical layer.
2. Doctrinal layer – which involves spiritual synergy and doesn’t demand creativity.
3. The Prophetic layer of Scripture.[irp posts=”22985″. John 5:39 KJV

Two ways to pray the will of God in prayer:

  1. By praying Scripture-Based Prayer. Isaiah 41:21 KJV.
God is touched by the feelings of our infirmity (compassion), but he is moved by his words. When God wants to help you by being touched, he sends you his words (the Bible)
  2. By Praying in the Spirit. Engaging the wisdom of the spirit in praying so as to birth the will of God. Romans 8:26-27 KJV

You don’t stop praying until the knowledge of the will arrives, that is the goal of the prayer.
You don’t stop praying when you are tired. What governs the time is travailing until the knowledge of the will arrives.
As compassionate as God is, he only acts with respect to his will.
When you pray in the spirit, you will eventually gain the advantage of knowing the will of the Lord and with it, you will execute with precision and you will save time.

Psalm 27:1 KJV, Job 22:29 KJV, 2 Peter 1:4 KJV, Psalm 112:1-4 KJV

There are 3 things God didn’t share with man:

  1. Omnipresent – meaning present everywhere at all times
  2. Omnipotent –  meaning all-powerful
  3. Omniscient – meaning all-knowing

Authority is the legitimacy to use power.

In this kingdom, it is written is greater than I saw,  it is written is greater than I heard. You can use it is written to change what you saw, You can use it is written to change what you heard.
