Ghanaian Gospel Music Artist Celestine Donkor is out with a new single titled “More Than A Song”
She wrote this song at a time when she was having challenges with her voice. She had a throat infection that made her lose her voice and resulted in difficulty in using her vocal cords to sing.
She said:
This was a hard time for me because at the time I had a hit song that was doing soo well, but I couldn’t go out to perform.
She started questioning God in her prayers and couldn’t afford to lose her voice which gave her a sense of fulfillment and purpose. The Lord told her that her worth was found in worshipping him in spirit and in truth and this kind of worship comes from the heart regardless of the state of her voice.
She State:
God made me realize that my voice couldn’t stop the worship that is coming from the heart. That was when I got inspired to sing and write ‘More Than A Song’
