The Spiritual Man (Reflecting The Christ) by Apostle Joshua Selman

The Spiritual Man (Reflecting The Christ) by Apostle Joshua Selman

Pray: Lord, everything I have is Yours. I give You my mind, soul, and body, in the name of Jesus!

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)
God is sending this word to encourage someone to keep being strong, remain consistent and resilient. The Bible also says, be not weary in well doing, you will reap if you faint not.

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
(‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬)

Every Word that comes out of the mouth of God is a survival strategy.
It matters that we submit to God. The times that we live in will test everything you know and reveal everything you do not know. To survive the very days we are in (not the coming days), you need bread for the journey and the proceeding Word of God.
God speaks by His spirit and He speaks to men through men.

Every proceeding Word of God to you, is meant to equip, transform and transit you.
The proceeding Word is also the sent Word.

There is a difference between Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding. There cannot be wisdom without knowledge.
The assignment of knowledge is to bring within your space or consciousness, information or knowledge that can be profitable to you.
– Knowledge is a coordinated gathering of useful information (access to information).
* Understanding is comprehension; the working dynamics deriving the principles that connects the dots.
* Wisdom is the practical aspect of engaging what you understand, it is applying the knowledge you have now understood. When there is no action, it is not wisdom.

Yes Lord by Apostle Joshua Selman

It is our corporate destiny to be a reflection of God’s glory, but not every Believer can become a reflection of the glory of God in experience.

THERE ARE THREE KINDS OF MEN FROM A SPIRITUAL STANDPOINT:

1. The natural man
2. The carnal man
3. The spiritual man
Romans 8:6-8 (KJV), 1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)

The natural man is an unsaved person that has not gone through the new birth experience. Such a person doesn’t have the faculty to understand spiritual things, because they are foolishness to him. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
The destiny of a natural man (the man that has not received Jesus Christ) is eternal doom, according to the scriptures.
(Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:23)

“My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)
The quality of Believers in their faith walk is not in the fruitfulness of their new birth experience, rather it is to the degree to which Jesus Christ is formed in that person.

The greatest need of unbelievers is salvation. Your assignment as a Believer is introducing them to Jesus Christ, and praying for them, with the hope that they accept Him as their Lord and Saviour.

Jesus calls sinners ‘The Harvest’. When we see sinners from the perspective of Jesus, as harvests, our disposition towards them changes to compassion, instead of judgement.

The carnal man is a Believer who is saved already, but the administration of eternal life in experience, has not found expression in his life. A carnal man is not necessarily an unbeliever.

Few things that characterize a carnal man:

1. The absence of transformation by The Word of God; not being spiritually minded and has not sustained the mind of God (Romans 8:6)
2. Such a person is still alive to self. (Romans 7:24)

The dangers of being carnal

1. The carnal person’s life portrays a consistent misrepresentation of the image of Jesus Christ. Such a person carries the title of ‘Christian’, yet the experience cannot be defended in their life.
2. The profit of being saved cannot be demonstrated in the person’s life. 1 Corinthians 3:1-4 (KJV)

One of the symptoms of being carnal, is that a person does not have the fortitude to endure sound doctrine! (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
(Ephesians 2:1-3 KJV)

A carnal man needs beyond counseling, advise or reading a book. A carnal man needs to submit himself to the ministry of The Word, through a teaching priest, for the process of transformation to occur.

A Spiritual man is not a man open to the realm of the spirit.
Features that must be captured within the life of a Believer, as proof that the person is Spiritual Man:

1. You must have encountered Jesus Christ through the new birth experience.
2. You must have had an experience with the person and the ministry of The Holy Spirit.
3. You must have a thorough comprehension of the principles of The Kingdom, as revealed in Scripture.
4. You must have willingly chosen to submit to the leadership of The Holy Spirit.

You must know The Holy Spirit before you can submit to Him.
To submit to The Holy Spirit is to submit to His will, plan and ways, and to be willing to receive from Him, regardless of the inconveniences.

The Holy Spirit will always respect your will. The Spirit of God does not force Himself on any man.
A classic sign that it’s The Holy Spirit leading you, is the “will factor” that allows you to choose.

The spiritual man is beyond a church-goer, tongue-talker, fasting giant and a religious routine practitioner.

True spirituality is characterized by submission to transformation, to the end that you’re changed in experience.

You cannot be a spiritual man and at the same time possess a carnal mind.

The Kingdom of God has a culture, and submitting to that culture of the Kingdom, produces a transformed Believer.

Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 3:5-7

Alagbara you are the mighty God by Onos

Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 4:10-13

An anointed preacher who does not have the nature of Jesus Christ is a dangerous person.

Pray: I desire to have the love nature of Jesus Christ.

The primary assignment of any Minister of God, in building spiritual people, is to partner with God’s Word and The Holy Spirit to build in them:

The Character and The Nature of Christ. Galatians 5:22-23

The real proof that you’re becoming a spiritual man, is that the love of God flows through you. Manifesting as love for God and love for people.
(1 Corinthians 13:1-7 NKJV)

The formula for the formation of Jesus Christ in the lives of the saints:

1. The Nature of Christ
(Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 13: 1-7).

2. The Mind and The Wisdom of Christ. Philippians 2:5, 1 Corinthians 2:7, Luke 1:17

3. The Works of Christ. Acts 10:38, John 20:21, Luke 4:18

You know God’s wisdom is at work in every area of your endeavours, when you see God’s dimension of results.

Pray: Lord, work on my character, I desire a richer manifestation of the nature and character of Jesus Christ.

Pray: Father uproot anything in me that is contrary to the character and nature of Jesus Christ.
