To Believe Jesus as Savior
To Believe Jesus as Lord
To Believe Jesus as Christ - Believing Jesus actually died as proof of the Father’s Love
- Believing Jesus shed his blood and ultimately gave his life for your sin, and you have received him, whether you feel like it or not, you are saved. 1 John 5:11 KJV
There Are Three Gifts That God Gave Man At The Point Of Salvation:
- The Forgiveness of Sin
- The Imputation of the Righteousness of God in Christ
The capacity to stand before the father’s presence without a sense of guilt or inferiority or condemnation - The Life of God (Eternal Life, Zoe Life)
- The new birth experience (being saved), is not the totality of the believer’s experience but the starting point to the journey of liberty and victory.
- Confessing the Lordship of Jesus and believing in him does not automatically bring you to the experience of victory, it’s a reality that is only true in the spirit realm.
- There is still a journey, a journey beyond salvation, the journey that eventually translates to liberty
What is The Next Step After Salvation?

- Knowing and believing the Truth
You come unto the knowledge of the truth because it is that truth that will not set you free
According to the Bible, the word of God is what we call truth. John 17:17 KJV
There are three ways according to Scripture of accessing the truth:
- Scripture

Truth Here Stands:
1. For Light
2. For Illumination
3. For Understanding
4. For Knowledge
There are 2 Dimensions of Truth That You Must Encounter To Have Liberty:
1. The Knowledge of God
2. The Knowledge of the ways of God
When you are saved you receive the life of God into your spirit but it does not mean you know God, it means capacity to know God has been given to you
Knowing God Comes By:
1. Searching The Scripture
2. Engaging with The Holy Spirit
3. Being Methodically Mentored

You don’t have true understanding until you begin to know God. Philippians 3:10 KJV
There are implications to knowing God and there are consequences to not knowing God. 2 Peter 1:2-3 KJV, John 17:3 KJV
As mighty as God is, he wants to be known and he can be known
The Most Fundamental Way To Know God is to study his character.
You do not know God if you don’t know his character
His Character as revealed:
1. In Scripture
2. In the Person Jesus. Colossians 1:15 KJV
If you do not know the character of God:
1. You will not be able to discern spirits
2. You will not be able to judge prophecy
The only basis for judging prophecy and discerning spirits is to know the character of God.

Expression of God’s Character:
1. God is Merciful and Compassionate. Exodus 33:18-19 KJV
2. God fainteth not, Neither is Weary. Isaiah 40:28 KJV

Something you do not know about God will empower satan to manipulate your mind until you fail.

There is a law in the spirit, nothing happens without the participation of your will. John 11:21 KJV
As a believer, your confidence is resting upon the integrity of God’s character
If you do not know God, you will be a weak Christian, very weak Christian.
The audacity of the believer is derived from your knowledge of God, your stability in faith is derived from your knowledge of God.

Dominion lies in the ability to use what is written to superimpose what was seen.
Dominion is the ability to take what is written and change I saw
- It is written is greater than I saw
- It is written is greater than I heard

Expression of God’s Character:

After becoming saved, the next assignment is to know God (you have to learn his character)
When you learn his character:
1. It guides how you pray
2. It guides your expectation
If you are not aware that the one you are praying to is a giver, that he loves you, and that his interest is for your good it will affect your confidence in prayer.
