The first thing you must understand tonight is:
- God’s love is unconditional, but walking in the reality of His promises is highly conditional.
God does not require any prerequisite to love you; it is His nature to love. But walking in the reality of His promises requires certain conditions from us.
- Secondly, you must understand that no amount of prayers, confession, spiritual activities or impartation will ever substitute or replace the need for obedience.
While you pray, confess scriptures or engage in spiritual activities, you must ensure that your heart is determined to obtain grace from God to walk in obedience.
- Thirdly, God’s power will usually demand faith on the part of the receiver before it is revealed.
Faith must be in the Name of Jesus, the resurrected Christ, to produce any result. (Matthew 14:28; John 2:5; Acts 3:16; Hebrews 4:1-2)
The power of faith is in two folds. You must have faith in:
1). Jesus
2). The vessel He is using
Having faith in Jesus alone, will not guarantee your receiving.
- Fourthly, Rest roundabout is God’s desire for every believer in Christ. Therefore, you must contend for rest in every area of your life.
You must be willing to take personal responsibility and insist until there is rest roundabout. (Exodus 33:14, Isaiah 14:3-7, 1 Kings 8:54-56, Mathew 11:28)
