It is God’s desire that our lives be a blessing to our generation
”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.“ Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
”The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.“ John 10:10 (KJV)
Birthdays are not just commemorations of the day you were born, but the fulfillment of the reason which you were born. The reason for which you were born is greater than the day you were born.
Keys to an Excellent Life:
1. To have a genuine experience with Jesus
There are four blessings that you will experience when you encounter God:
- Abundant life
- Joy
- Peace
- Meaning and Purpose
2. To Contend for Transformation. The power of a superior belief system.
No one is born transformed; transformation is not a gift, it is not an inheritance. Nobody is born transformed. Nobody inherits transformation. Transformation is not a gift.
Two major ways we are programmed:
– Genetic programming
– Environmental programming
A teacup cannot desire the capacity of a large water tank. A teacup cannot retain the same amount of water as a large storage tank. The difference is capacity.
Transformation involves actively changing your mind. It isn’t something you merely wish for; it is something you actively strive for.
Being transformed is an active expression, you don’t wish for transformation, you contend for transformation.
”And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.“

Aside from the reception of salvation, one advantage of a successful life is the power of a superior belief system. Something you believe or don’t believe about God, can leave you defeated
What happens to you isn’t what affects you, what affects you is what you do with what happens to you.
You perceive life through the lens of your mindset. You don’t simply see with your eyes; you see through your eyes with your mind. Your mindset is the vista through which you see life.
You do not see with your eyes, you see through your eyes. You see with your mind, it is through your mind that you can see life.
The quality of your life, destiny, and ministry is a product of your belief system.
It is the assignment of a Believer once he or she comes into Christ, to submit himself or herself to be transformed by the Holy Spirit.
The quality of your life, destiny, ministry, or career remains at the mercy of the kind and quality of beliefs that you inculcate.
Your value and contributions as far as the lives and destinies of men are concerned, determine your reward, influence, and fulfillment.
3. The Power of Value. To be Valuable. To be extremely valuable. Mark 1:37 KJV
Your value and contribution is what determine your reward, determines your influence, and determines your fulfillment.
4. Master Relationships. Psalm 115:16 KJV
The world we live in is a world of men (human beings). Anything that will happen in your life will be dependent on men.
– Destiny fulfillment is possible only through relationships.
Anything that happens in your life is dependent on the relationship.
The cure for a life that is bankrupt of reward, influence, and fulfillment, is to be extremely valuable.
You are as powerful on earth as the relationships that support your growth, endorse you, and the people that become ladders to you rising or that choose to partner with your greatness.
Relationships are hard currency they can buy anything money can buy and things money can’t buy.
The easiest way to succeed in life is to have correct relationships.
Key Things to Note About Relationships:
1. Destiny fulfillment is impossible without a relationship.
2. Relationships are advantageous connections.
3. Relationships are currency, they can buy anything money can buy and things money cannot buy.
4. The easiest way to succeed in life is through relationships.
5. Relationship is tripartite; relationship with God (Spiritual appetite), men, and things.
6. You’re as powerful on earth as the relationship that supports your growth.
How to Maintain Relationships:
1. Avoid competitive jealousy
2. Learn to speak right
3. Practice forgiveness and tolerance
4. Practice gratitude
5. Be an active contributor
6. Master kindness
Practice forgiveness and tolerance. Forgiveness means to release the offender, while tolerance means to make room for one who will offend again and again.
Never embrace a parasitic relationship; be an active contributor to the growth of the other party.
There are many gifted people, but a gifted rebel is not an asset.
It is better to be with a grateful person than a gifted person who is ungrateful.
One can pay the price to add intelligence to a grateful person, but a gifted and ungrateful person is a disaster waiting to happen.
If a door in your life has been closed as a result of dishonor, you can re-open it with honor and secure the relationship with gratitude.
When God connects you to great people, He will not maintain it for you. It is your responsibility to maintain the relationship. When God connects you to great people, make an effort to maintain it.
When people realize you’re only around them to give something, everything you do automatically becomes irritating.
When God connects you with great people, it is not His responsibility to maintain it. It is your responsibility to make the extra effort to maintain greatness and quality relationships.
Love people for who they are, not for what they carry.
Great people aren’t naive: they know those who are around them genuinely out of love and those who are just parasites and sycophants.
5. Be a person of character. You must live by value if you want to be great. Proverbs 25:28 KJV
– You must live by values; learn to have control over your words, conduct, and behavior.
– Protocol is an expected behavior in any environment.
6. The Power of Purpose.
Purpose answers the questions why?
Motive is a subset of purpose
– Purpose answers the question “why”.
– Motive is a sub-set of purpose.
– Desires and pursuits become profitable only when it is connected to purpose.
– Asking the question “why” is a powerful secret. It will help you take your insatiable appetite, and take from your life, the temptation of vain living.
– A man who cannot consistently ask the question why is a man who does not have control over his life and destiny.
Questions you should ask yourself?
Why do you want Wealth?
Why do you want Fame?
Why do you want Anointing?
Desires and pursuits only become profitable when it is connected to purpose.
Why tame our unsearchable appetite. Why tame Vain living
Your biggest why is Jesus revealed in and through our life and Jesus Glorified.
Manage the temptation for self-glorification. Edit vanity from your life.
The Anointing will take you up, but it is character that will maintain it.
People do not just want to follow spirituality, they want to associate with a person of character.
7. Understand the Brevity of life on Earth. Psalm 90:12 KJV, Philippians 1:21 KJV, 2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV
We are not called to fear death, we are called to know that life at best is very brief, like the falling of a leaf.
The question we should all ask ourselves is where we will go after our existence on earth.
Word Of Caution:
Believers must learn to manage the obsession and temptation for self-glorification.
Ensure you edit the activities and pursuits in your life. Let your activities and pursuits be things that are connected to Jesus Christ and the Kingdom come.
Anything that interrupts an opportunity for you to become a serious Christian is vanity.
Manage the obsession for self-glorification. Beyond personal ambition, the desire to be great, to be successful, to outshine others, to be celebrated and be famous, you must seek to see Jesus Christ revealed and glorified.
The celebration of your birthday is not merely celebrating how far you have come, but also celebrating and pondering the years you have left.
Pray: Ask God for one thing you want Him to do for you today!
