Discerning The Will Of God by Apostle Joshua Selman
Psalm 133:1-3 (KJV)
In every vision, you will find three categories of people:
1). General Participants – These are the well-wishers, fans, non-committed members, and those who celebrate from afar.
2). Connected by Revelation – These are members and all who are domiciled within the territory. They know they’re principal beneficiaries and largely connected to receive but not really participants.
3). Pillars – These are the smallest group of people who are pillars behind the vision, man of God, etc. They believe in the vision and are committed not only to receive but will do everything possible for the vision to thrive and remain.
Your relevance will be greatly hinged on the degree to which you participated in “Kingdom Come”.
Pray: Lord, grant me the grace to be connected in truth and to be connected in deed. I submit to your power and wisdom to build me, heal me, and change me.
Your relevance will be greatly hinged on the degree to which you participated in “Kingdom Come”.
Pray: Lord, grant me the grace to be connected in truth and to be connected in deed. I submit to your power and wisdom to build me, heal me, and change me.
Ephesians 5:17 (KJV)
Results bring glory to the Name of God; Results are evangelists, they can preach to a territory.
Daniel 11:32 (KJV)
There are two principal aspects of God you must know;
1). His Nature – Without an understanding of God’s nature, the devil will deceive and cheat you on many fronts.
2). His Will – If you understand the nature and will of God, you’re fortified with power, the capacity, and are ready to excel and do exploits. (Daniel 11:32)
You command power in this Kingdom to the degree to which you understand and walk in the will of God.
The administration of the power of God is not haphazard; it is defined within the circumference of His will. Outside of the Will of God, there is no guarantee of the power of God to work for you.
Many Believers live defeated lives because they’re yet to be in the center of God’s will. Your relevance, immunity, and success is in the will of God.
Colossians 4:12 (KJV) Hebrews 13:20 (KJV)
In this Kingdom, your immunity, relevance, and longevity is in the Will of God. (Matthew 6:10)
The promise you receive is connected to your understanding and doing of the Will of God.
The jurisdiction of power and authority is within the will of God.
God’s commitment to you is to the degree to which you are prepared to understand and do His Will. (John 4:34)
John 4:34 (KJV) John 5:30 (KJV)
The jurisdiction of authority and power for the believer is the Will of God. It is risky and dangerous to be outside of the Will of God.
Keys to Discerning and Walking in the Will of God:
1). A life of total surrender (Luke 22:42, Jeremiah 29:11) – Surrender is the willingness to enthrone His will above yours, as proof that you trust Him.
The will of God is connected to His purpose and eternal plan; it may not look sensible in the short term.
When you come to God, your heart must be malleable. God’s Word comes when He finds your heart ready.
Walking with God is a risk. When God calls you, the assignment is to follow which means trust Him. Genesis 12:1 KJV. When God reveals his will to you he will never tell you everything. There must be a part of your followership that necessitates faith.
You can argue and cry but you must obey. It may not make sense, a greater risk if you disobey.
The next chapter of your dealing is dependent on surrender (your willingness to hear God and enthrone His will above yours as proof that you trust him and submit to his will)
2). The Wisdom that comes from the Word of God. (Psalm 119:105, Hebrews 4 12 KJV)
Psalm 119:105
- Lamp unto my feet – Guidance
- Light unto my path – Direction
Luke 4:18-20 KJV
The Word of God reveals the ways and principles of God to enable you filter other opinions. You can know what is in the heart of God by studying the Word of God.
There’s a relationship between sight, discernment, and knowing God’s will. It is your assignment to know where it was written concerning you in God’s word.
Knowing the ways of God can help you know what God cannot say.
Proverbs 4:18 KJV
One of the principal ways God speaks to us is through His Word. You must become an intentional student of scripture to become a survivor in these end times.
3). Through Strategic prayers particularly praying in the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:6-8, Isaiah 30:21, Jeremiah 33:3)
You need His will to know what He wants you to do per time per season. Prayer provides that platform to access the mind of God.
Mark 1:21-35 KJV
For every time you hear God and walk in the will of God, there is a fearful blessing on the other side of your obedience.
There are two (2) levels of the Will of God:
1). The Will of God as far as the blueprint of your purpose and destiny is concerned.
2). The moment-by-moment dealings that will lead you to the ultimate goal of your purpose.
Keys to Discerning and Walking in the Will of God:
4). Patience (Hebrews 10:36, Hebrews 6:15)
Most people do not have the patience of faith. For every time you hear God and walk in His will, there is a blessing attached to your obedience.
Every time God is silent, beware of the voice you hear. There is a tendency for Satan to leverage such moments.
Your maturity as a believer is shown in your ability to remain in the last place of God’s instruction even when it doesn’t seem sensible. The glory that follows the season of silence is the glory that excels.
When God is silent;
1). He is working on you (the vessel) to prepare, reveal, and execute His will. Luke 2:52 KJV
- Even in your confusion, God is still leading you.
2). He is working on other factors and the people needed to help you do His will. Luke 1:39-44 KJV
- Every time you don’t understand God give thanks and know that he’s doing something, preparing a table, fixing things.
3). He’s possibly fighting unseen battles and averting certain dangers that the enemy has already programmed ahead of you. Matthew 2:20 KJV
Every time through ignorance you insist and put pressure on God to do things your way, He will honor your decision, but you’ll live with the consequences.
Every time you get out of the will of God, it will take mercy to redeem you.
With God everything is possible
