Come Up Hither Part One (Hunger & Thirst) by Apostle Joshua Selman

Luke 9:28-32 KJV, Ephesians 5:14 KJV, 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 KJV

You are changed into the glory that you behold. It is the part you behold, you become.

Sight is a product of two factors:

  1. Light
  2. An Eye that can see

The business of revelation is the business of sight.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. Habakkuk 2:1 KJV

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. Isaiah 9:2 KJV

The assignment of revelation is to bring forth transition. Ephesians 3:9-10 KJV

When you learn, there is a transition in the spirit.

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. Revelations 4:1 KJV

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5 KJV

It takes stamina to look when there are good things behind you

It takes focus, it takes hunger and it takes meekness to still look after these.

In looking, you have to look away from before looking towards.

Philippians 3:13-14 KJV

Hunger is a powerful component in a believer’s work.

Come up hither is a journey into higher realms of authority and power (illumination and revelation).

Sight is more powerful than sound because it creates a greater conviction

The whole journey of come up hither is the business of consciousness and revelation

Revelations 5:1 KJV, Revelations 5:6 KJV, Revelations 6:1 KJV, Revelations 6:3 KJV,Revelation 6:5 KJV

Your knowledge is at the mercy of what you see

Come up Hither is:

  1. A Journey to Perfection
  2. A Journey to maturity
  3. A Journey to command authentic power and grace

Breathe Upon by Apostle Joshua Selman

Three hindrances that can stop you from coming up hither:

1. Disinterest towards God and spiritual things

Not interested in:

  1. Prayer
  2. Word study
  3. Any spiritual development

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6 KJV

The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18

2 Timothy 3:1-4

It’s only what God keeps that is kept.

Anything that happens in time is not worth your distraction. Rejoice over it and move on. Look unto him.

2. The state and the corruption of the heart. Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV, Psalm 24:3-4 KJV

The greatest requirement to being used by God is the purity of your heart

2 Chronicles 25:2, 2 Kings 4:8-31 KJV

What powers the rod is the state of your heart.

What makes your heart pour is the desire to see God glorified beyond making a name for yourself.

Once you do not work on your heart, there are things God can not trust you with anything. E.g. people, resources, and opportunities. Deuteronomy 8:11-17

The safest position for a believer is to hide behind the cross.

In lifting Jesus, you are also lifted.

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.  John 17:1

If God finds out that he’s deriving great glory from your life, what happens is that he keeps:

  1. Lifting you for his name’s sake
  2. Empowering you for his name’s sake
  3. Honoring you for his name’s sake

3. Lack of proper mentorship and guidance. Jeremiah 6:16 KJV

If you are not helped, you will not get there.

You will reflect the accuracy or the limitations of those you choose to follow.

The implication of followership is that you will eventually be a reflection of the accuracy or the limitations.

Acts 8:26-31 KJV

There are many people who’s undoing spiritually today was not a product of rebellion, they only followed the wrong people.

You will become a reflection of the accuracy or the limitation of who you choose to follow.

Questions you should ask yourself?

  2. What do you believe about satan?
  3. What do you believe about Failure?
  4. What do you believe about Growth?
  5. What do you believe about Prosperity?
  6. What do you believe about Poverty?
  7. What do you believe about Success?
  8. What do you believe about Victory?
  9. What do you believe about Defeat?
  10. What do you believe about Fasting?
  11. What do you believe about Prayer?
  12. What do you believe about Consecration?
  13. What do you believe about Increase?

It matters how you are mentored. When God wants to help a man after you have encountered Jesus, he grants you the opportunity to sit under the grace of a teaching priest:

  1. Who loves Jesus
  2. Has an accurate understanding of the word
  3. Loves you

It takes more than a good heart, it takes understanding.

What must die for you to see? Isaiah 6:1 KJV

Wisdom brings wealth but strength retains wealth

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise. Ephesians 5:15 KJV

Two ways God corrects issues of time:

  1. Restoration
  2. Speed
