Matthew 6:9-15 KJV

You need to understand that when you come to pray, you are not only praying to God, you are praying to Father.

1. The Almighty God is also Father. Deuteronomy 32:5-6 KJV, Isaiah 63:16 KJV
2. Jesus revealed and established the Fatherhood of God when he walked upon the earth. Jesus came as a revelation of the Father. Matthew 11:27 KJV. God desires a relationship with us. It is possible to be in a functional relationship with God even though you don’t see him physically. Luke 15:11-20 KJV, Acts 1:4 KJV, Ephesian 3:14-15 KJV

To be called Father means:

1. Source
2. Sustainer
3. Protector
4. Provider

Fatherhood is really a leadership philosophy.

There are 4 assignments for Fathers

1. Provision – No matter what you fail in as a father, you must not fail in this area. To provide means to make available the resources needed for the family. Matthew 7:11 KJV, 1 Timothy 5:8 KJV
2. Protection – To keep safe. To stop from accessing danger. Ephesians 3:20 KJV, John 17:12 KJV
3. Mentorship and Growth. 1 John 2:1-14 KJV
4. Continuity and Succession. Proverbs 13:22 KJV

To inherit means to receive by succession or by will as an heir.

The first and greatest Inheritance every man (man or woman) can give his Children

1. Your convictions. If as a child, all you got from your father is money, you have failed. Genesis 18:17-19 KJV
2. Your Name. Your name is a capture of your track record, your credibility, your impact, your value, and your contribution. Genesis 12:1 KJV. It is better to protect your name than your money, when your name goes down it will take the grace of God to bring it back.
3. Your Relationships and Connections (Networks). They are transferable. John 19:26-27 KJV. You must strategically and structurally in Relationships. Four types of relationships you need in your life.
   • Divine Connectors
   • Men of Influence
   • Gifted People
   • Burden Bearers
4. Your Physical Assets. Luke 15:12-31 KJV, Proverbs 18:1 KJV, Genesis 25:6 KJV
5. The Anointing and The Mantle that made you must be transferred. Genesis 25:1-11 KJV, Genesis 26:12-16 KJV

Keys to receiving an inheritance from a Father

1. Honor (Malachi 1:6-8 KJV)
2. Service
